Our New Home

Let me take you on a "tour" of our new place!

This is it! Our new home. We just absolutely love it. God truly blessed us with this house. We are so thankful!

Let the photo tour begin...

If you would walk into our house from the garage, the kitchen and living room is the first thing you would see. I just love the counter top space in this kitchen.

This is a view of the kitchen from the living room. The door next to the refrigerator leads to the garage. Though the front room is larger than this room, Jordan and I chose to make this area the living room because of how open the kitchen is to the living room. Since it's just the two of us, we like the coziness of this room.

Part of the living room. I love the bright teal curtains and cute pillows. This love seat is new and was such a steal on base!

The view from the kitchen into the living room. Through the doorway you can see the dining table and front room.

Downstairs in the living room is a half-bath and utility closet.

One more section of the living room and now into the dining room/front room.

This door leads out into our screened in back patio. Eventually, I hope we can add a grill, patio furniture and other accessories to make this area a fun place to gather to eat and hangout. We'll see what Jordan says...

Walking from the living room into the front room. After Christmas, the tree will come down and that corner will become a little coffee/reading nook. I'll post more pictures as we add more to the house.

This is a view of the front room as if you walked in our front door. Jordan picked out our table and I just love it. I bought the end table and crates at a thrift store and filled them up with old books from the 1800s, our favorite vinyl albums and a few flowers leftover from our wedding.

The door in the center leads to the patio.

Upstairs:

This is the upstairs guest bathroom...

...and shower

Down the hall is the laundry room. There is plenty of room for our washer and dryer as well as shelves to store laundry essentials and folded clothes.

This is our messy office. For now, it's a combination of Miles' bed and a simple office to store bills and Air Force records. Someday we'll organize things better and switch things up.

I love the vaulted ceiling.

That's all for now. I'll post more pictures as we change things and add to the house. Thanks for looking! Comments are welcome.

Much love.

Decorating for Christmas

Our first Christmas tree! This is our second Christmas together, but last year our tiny apartment didn't allow much room for a tree. I found this pre-lit 6 foot tree at a thrift store on the island for $7! We added red and gold ornaments, candy canes and a bright star on top. At the center of the tree is an ornament with a picture of us from our wedding day. My mother-in-law gave it to us last Christmas and it now has a place on our new tree.

A New Start

Recently, my husband Jordan and I moved from our first place together in Central Illinois to Florida's Space Coast. To keep family and friends up to date on our new life, I've created this blog to document exciting adventures and everyday life at our new home.
Feel free to stop by and see what's new with us, leave comments and share in our latest adventures.
